A Little Disappointed

We had our 2nd 4D sonogram appointment last night. Mia was not being very cooperative at all. She kept her left hand and arm up in her face the entire time. We were not able to get any pictures of her face. We saw a nose, an ear, a yawning mouth, an eye, and fingers and toes but no face. So they scheduled us to come back next Saturday 11/15 to try again for some good face shots. I have to admit she was so easy to scan the first time I expected nothing less this time so I am very disappointed. I wanted to see her face so badly. At least we get to try again in a week. We did get one very good picture of her leg, ankle, and both her feet and I must say we think she has my toes lol!

32 weeks

Time marches on. Yes we are now at 32 weeks which means only 8 weeks to go! We went back to see Dr. Greenburg today. I have gained a little more weight and am right where I need to be. Mia is growing and my belly is getting bigger and bigger every week now. Her heart beat is strong and steady and she continues to roll around all over the place. Dr. Greenburg said she is already in position to be born so I guess she is ready to get out of there and get some more room to move. If everything goes as planned it looks like we will have our baby girl before the first of the year. I can't wait to meet her.

We have our 2nd 4D ultrasound on Friday so check back soon for updated pictures of our precious baby girl some time Saturday.

Baby Shower

We are so blessed! The ladies at our church gave me a baby shower this past Saturday. Mia received so many wonderful gifts. I still have to go through everything and get it washed sorted and put away. Here are some pictures from the shower.

30 Weeks

The time goes by faster with every week and every day. We went to see Dr Greenburg again today for my 30 week visit. Mitch was able to come with me today and hear Mia's heart beat. It was very special because he has not been able to go with me to any of my appointments since 20 weeks. Mia's heart beat was a little slow today because she was sleeping but still at 130 beats per minute which is great. I was happy to learn I didn't gain any weight in the last 2 weeks but Dr Geenburg said I needed to gain at least a little in the next 2 weeks for him to be happy with my progress. I don't mind gaining weight for the baby at all it's eating all the food it takes to gain the weight when there is so little room left in my stomach.

Mia is growing steadily, her movements are all over the place and she packs quite a punch these days. I have my second 4D ultrasound scheduled in just over 2 weeks. I can't wait to see how much she has grown in the 10 weeks since we last saw her. I get a special treat at this next ultrasound my grandma is flying in from Mississippi to come to my baby shower on November 1st and she will still be here to come to the ultrasound with us. This is very special since she lives so far away. I'm so happy she can be a part of this pregnancy and I will have picture to show Mia one day that her Great Grandma loved her so much she came a long way just to be here to help celebrate her pending arrival into this world.

A Grandma's Love

Here are some of the things my mom has been working on for Mia with her new embroidery machine. She has made several burp cloths and a few bibs for our precious baby girl. I love them! She is getting better and better with her machine every day so I have no doubt that Mia will be very stylish while drooling all over the burp cloths and bibs her granny made her with lots of love. Thanks mom!

29 Weeks Almost

Here is an updated picture for you of the growing baby belly. I feel like I'm getting bigger every day now. She is punching and kicking most of the time now. She squirms and flips and does anything else you can imagine. I love it! The time is getting closer day by day.

28 Weeks

Wow only 12 weeks to go. I never thought I'd say that. Just a quick update for everyone. I went to the doctor today to see Dr. Wilkerson. Thankfully my weight gain is right on track. I haven't gained too much or too little. I joked with the nurse this was the first appointment I didn't want to get on the scale because I was scared I gained too much at one time. Mia is healthy and strong. Her heart beat was 134 beats per minute. She kept running away from the doppler while he was trying to get her heart beat. He said that's ok healthy babies move around a lot. That made me smile. I'm on to my 2 weeks appointments now so I go back on October 21st.
