Mia's room.......Almost done!

Here are some of the updated pictures from Mia's room. It's really starting to look beautiful. We only have a few things left to do over the next couple of weeks and I can declare it done!

Here is a hand painted Bible verse I received as a shower gift from my cousins Nicki, Scott & Emily, and Al. It is amazing and I'm so proud to have it in Mia's room.

This is her clothes hamper. I can't wait to have her here to put clothes in it.

This is a close up of her crib bedding

This is what her crib looks like from farther away.

This is her chest with her lamp and picture hanging over it.

This is her dresser/changer. We still need a couple of things for this to look complete.

This is her quilt rack and toy box. Her diaper cake from her shower is on the shelf along with her first Barbie given to her by her Mimi (My aunt Melba)

This is a larger shot of her room including her glider that was given to us by my mom's close friend Charlon. This glider has a wonderful story to go with it that I look forward to sharing with Mia one day.

This is her bookshelf. As you can see she already has a few books and I hope to pass along my love of reading to our daughter as she grows .

Mia's Pictures

Mia still did not really show us her face again today. Here are some of the best shots we got. This just makes me more anxious for the next 6 weeks to pass quickly so I can really see my precious baby's face.

She keeps her hand up by her face, or in her face like this at all times.

We did capture a big yawn from her. I guess we were boring her while we were trying to get her pictures.

We got this cute picture of her feet. We have decided she will have my toes.

Here is a side view of her face and it's probably the best shot we got out of all of the ones of her face. Note the hand still up by her face!

She has her tongue sticking out in this one. I guess she was telling us what she thought of our intrusion into her world. LOL!

A Little Disappointed

We had our 2nd 4D sonogram appointment last night. Mia was not being very cooperative at all. She kept her left hand and arm up in her face the entire time. We were not able to get any pictures of her face. We saw a nose, an ear, a yawning mouth, an eye, and fingers and toes but no face. So they scheduled us to come back next Saturday 11/15 to try again for some good face shots. I have to admit she was so easy to scan the first time I expected nothing less this time so I am very disappointed. I wanted to see her face so badly. At least we get to try again in a week. We did get one very good picture of her leg, ankle, and both her feet and I must say we think she has my toes lol!

32 weeks

Time marches on. Yes we are now at 32 weeks which means only 8 weeks to go! We went back to see Dr. Greenburg today. I have gained a little more weight and am right where I need to be. Mia is growing and my belly is getting bigger and bigger every week now. Her heart beat is strong and steady and she continues to roll around all over the place. Dr. Greenburg said she is already in position to be born so I guess she is ready to get out of there and get some more room to move. If everything goes as planned it looks like we will have our baby girl before the first of the year. I can't wait to meet her.

We have our 2nd 4D ultrasound on Friday so check back soon for updated pictures of our precious baby girl some time Saturday.

Baby Shower

We are so blessed! The ladies at our church gave me a baby shower this past Saturday. Mia received so many wonderful gifts. I still have to go through everything and get it washed sorted and put away. Here are some pictures from the shower.

Mia's gifts. Can you see how much our baby is loved. It's overwhelming!
This is Mia's first Barbie doll given to her by her Mimi

I can't wait and sit down to read all the cards again. I will be saving them for her.

This is my granny that flew all the way from Mississippi to be at the shower.

Everyone loves to socialize at a baby shower

This food spread was amazing and the diaper cake was too cute!

This is a hand painted bible verse for Mia's room from my cousins. It is amazing!

Pink and Brown polka dots too cute!

A must have to sit the baby in a shopping cart. Germs Yuck!

The amazing diaper cake. I had never seen one before. It had shoes on top and tiny hair bows clipped all over it.
